Following a small family of Northern Comforts 43, some of which were build in GRP, the latest generation will be for aluminium construction again.
One of the reasons is that this boat has a lifting keel, and constructive wise this makes it some what easier.
As a result the interior arrangement differs a lot from the fixed keel boats, the keel casing needs to be incorporated in the least obtrusive way.
I choose for using it as a wall between the passage and the guest cabin.
The boat has a shower stall separate from the bath room.
There is ample stowage space, specially below the cockpit area.
The hardtop dodger covers the cubby seats which are slightly lower than the cockpit seats and allow unobstructed forward view for the cockpit crew.
The space between the mast and the dodger is sufficient to stow a small dinghy.
It might be of interest to compare the plans wth those of the NC44 which show the modifications done to meet the requirements of a customer.
These boats are ideal for going to places!
