A remarkable voyage was made this summer by Ed Megens and his ‘Fram”. Sailing single handed to Spits Bergen under less than favorable conditions in sometimes strong winds from averse directions,
he showed what a determined skipper with a suitable boat can accomplice.. The aluminum hull was built by Habbeké in Volendam, and completed by her first owner. She has a sister ship in ‘See Adler’ which was also built with extended cruising in mind, and was launched earlier this year.
